As Summer 2023 was all about the bright colors and trends, major fashion brands and fast fashion alike are going back to the basics, focusing more on the materials of the clothes rather than the colors, focusing on reliable neutral statement pieces, dressing them up with gold or colorful accents. Now with the rise of the clean girl aesthetic, the impact of these looks can appear much more modern. A bright trendy shoe choice can make or break the look. The reason why these are becoming a staple in everyone's closet is the fact that they have effortless styling, looking put together and also coordinated, making the look super cohesive. At first, this trend started in this past year starting in the West Coast with many influencers having sponsorships with the brand Set Active, which was the frontrunner for the new wave of athleisure that's versatile enough to
wear out and about in the city also, even to dinners and fancier occasions. After this year when the idea of matching sets has been super normalized, we can see an increase in the use of how to see these sets adapted into dressier sets also. Now by 2024, almost every influencer brand will have a category for matching sets.
